That is good because we need to wake them up.â Bost is among those threatening to pull the plug, saying the old system could be improved. âIt has been a nightmare,â House Veteransâ Affairs Chair Mike Bost (R-Ill.) told POLITICO. âModernization of the electronic health record is not optional,â Tester told POLITICO. One last shot? Key lawmakers, including Senate Veteransâ Affairs Chair Jon Tester (D-Mont.), are trying to give the VA another attempt to get it right after the department halted the system rollout this spring and renegotiated its contract with Oracle Cerner. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) to put a hold on a confirmation vote for President Joe Bidenâs nomination to fill the VAâs No. Some are browbeating to end the program, while others want to boost oversight. The project - tied to at least four veteransâ deaths and estimated to cost more than $50 billion after initial estimates put it at $10 billion - is on pause, and lawmakers are threatening action. Mike Bost, chair of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee, says trying to modernize the VA's electronic health records system has been "a nightmare." | AP PhotoĬONGRESS AT A BREAKING POINT - The Department of Veterans Affairs and Oracle Cernerâs woes in replacing the agencyâs digital health records system has left Congress seething. It took a bit of research to figure all of this out, so I hope it helps others having problems with Coherence clustering.Rep. In windows this is done by adding the feature "Simple TCP/IP Services". I actually had to have a proper echo service respond. This is used to keep the Coherence cluster alive.Ä®ven though the Coherence documentation states that port 7 just needs to be open. Besides that, the firewall needs to allow communication on port 7 (Echo) and to allow ICMP ping packages. Ensure that both ports are open on TCP and UDP both. So if you configure it to use 8088, it also needs 8089. What isn't apparent is that Coherence actually uses two ports. Please see the documentation for more details.Ĭom.: Timeout during service start: ServiceInfo(Id=0, Name=Cluster, Type=ClusterÄuring the normal configuration of Coherence you define, among other things, what port it should run on. If you are using multicast, please make sure multicast is enabled on your network and that there is no interference on the address in use. Initially we saw a lot of deployment and Coherence errors with timeouts and connection issues like these: It took a good bit of trial and error to get it to work, so I thought I would sum up what I learned during the endevaour. I recently had to enable the normal unicast Coherence cluster required by the Oracle SOA suite on a set of Windows servers which was completely separated by local firewalls.
